5 Days Wildlife Safari


Day 1: Kibale Forest National Park.
You will be picked up from your hotel or airport for a drive to Kibale forest national park. It will take a 5 to 6 hours drive to the primate capital with the highest chimpanzee population. The park is a home to chimpanzee families and offers ultimate primates experiences. You will have en route stop overs for photography and proceed to your lodge for a rest.
Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and Head to QENP
You will have breakfast head to the park headquarters for briefing ahead of the chimpanzee trek. You will then be guided to the forest where you will meet chimpanzees, other primate like Vervet & Colobus monkeys. The forest also has a number of bird and plant species often sighted while on the primate trek. Have hot lunch at your lodge and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving in the evening. You will then go for a brief game drive where you will see a number of Savanna wildlife species.
Day 3: Game drives & Boat Cruise
You will head out for an early morning game drive to catch up with the early risers. Expect to see animals like lions, antelopes, elephants, buffaloes as well as a number of birds. This game drive takes 3 to 4 hours depending on your preference. Return to your lodge for a lunch break and later go for a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel. The channel has highest concentration of Hippos in East Africa, crocodiles and a number of birds. You will later have a brief game drive or directly head to your lodge for a rest.
Day 4: Game Drive and Head to Bwindi
After breakfast, transfer to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park famous for tree climbing lions. You will have games drive in search for tree climbing lions and other wildlife species like Topis, water-bucks plus birds. If you are lucky you will see the tree climbing lions, have lunch and proceed to Bwindi impenetrable national park.
Day 5: Gorilla Trek and Community Visit
You will have breakfast and head to the park headquarters for a briefing about gorilla tracking. Mountain gorillas are rare primates that live in forested mountains of Bwindi impenetrable Forest National Park. You will see other wildlife species in the forest especially birds, plants and some other primates like monkeys. Stay in the presence of the gorillas for strictly one hour and later return and head to your lodge. In the evening go for a community visit where you will discover more about the local peoples culture.
Day 6: Departure
On this is the last day you will be for transferred back to your Hotel or airport for departure depending on schedule.

3 Days Gorilla safari
This option works for tourists who would not like the 9 to 10 hours drive from Kampala/Entebbe to Bwindi. The tour starts with a pick up from Kigali Rwanda that is a 4 to 5 hours drive to Bwindi. Gorilla permits in Uganda are cheaper compared to Rwanda and this tour option can enable you save some money.


Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi (4 to 5 hours drive)
Your driver guide shall pick you up from the airport or hotel in Kigali and take you for a Kigali city tour. You will later be driven across the border to Bwindi with an en route stop over for photography. You will arrive in Bwindi late afternoon and rest at your lodge
Day 2: Gorilla Trek & Batwa Community visit
After briefing, take an adventure in the jungle seeking to meet the mountain gorillas in their preferred natural habitats. You will meet the gorillas with their families, take photographs and getting to know more about their wild lifestyles. This encounter takes a hour after which you will be guided back to the park headquarters. You will later go for a Batwa community visit where you will learn more about their ways of life.
Day 3: Departure
You will have a relaxed drive to Kigali for a drop off at the Hotel or airport depending on schedule. In-case you want to visit Volcanoes national park Rwanda, on Day 2 after gorilla tracking you can be driven there. On the last day the you can have a golden monkey trek before heading back to Kigali in the afternoon.
