5 Days Wildebeest Wildlife Safari

This epic 5 days Tanzania wildlife safari takes you to Serengeti national park for the wildebeest migration. It also features Lake Manyara for the big game and Ngorongoro crater for the birds and big game as well.

Your driver guide will pick you up from your Hotel in Arusha for a transfer to Lake Manyara National Park.  It will take a 2 to 3 hours drive with stop overs for photography. You will arrive in time for game drives with scenic views of the lake and unique vegetation of the park. Look out for elephants, impalas, buffaloes, giraffes some primates like baboons as well as a number of bird species. You can also opt for a bike tour or boat cruise and later head to your lodge for a rest.

After having breakfast,  exit the park for a transfer to Serengeti National Park most famous for the wildebeest migration. There are also many predators in Serengeti National Park including lions, leopards, cheetahs and Hyenas. The park offers African wildlife experiences with thousands of wildlife species and birds seen while on game drives. You will in time for lunch, go for game drives and later return to your lodge for a rest.

Day 3: Full Day In Serengeti National Park

You will decide whether you prefer to have full day endless game drives with picnic lunch.  You can also opt for early morning game drives, return to your lodge for hot Lunch. You will then go again for  evening game drives ending the day with views of an African Sunset.

Enjoy a brief game drive after breakfast as you exit Serengeti for a transfer to Ngorongoro Crater. Its an outstanding wildlife destination covering a land area of 102 square miles with many indigenous East African wildlife species. The Crater itself is a unique attraction with other natural relief attractions like Rivers, swamps, lakes, savanna plains and forests. With such diversity, its not surprising that the crater alone is a full package offering exclusive wildlife experiences. You will get here for a lunch break and later head out to explore what the crater has to offer.

Day 5: Departure (3 hours drive).

Start this day with game drives on the Crater floor viewing animals you missed seeing on the first day.  Enjoy picnic lunch seeing animals at the Hippo lake then have another game drive as you exit the Crater.  You will then transfer back to Arusha for a drop off at your Hotel or Airport depending on schedule

Leave your Hotel in Dar-es-Salaam and head to airports’ domestic terminal for your flight to Selous game reserve. The reserve is located in the western part of Tanzania and its a home to various wildlife species. You will have great aerial views as you enter the game reserve and go for game drives. After a lunch break,  you will continue with game drives and in the evening enjoying an African sunset.

Day 2: Selous Game Reserve Exploration

On this highly anticipated day, you will head out in the morning to see the wildlife species the park has. Look out for game reserves predators like lions, Cheetahs, birds as you enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. You can choose to have picnic lunch in the wild or can have hot lunch back at your lodge. In the afternoon go for a boat cruise on Rufiji River where you will see hippos, crocodiles and birds.

Day 3: Full Day Game drives

You can choose to have full day game drives or go for a guided nature walk in the morning. Spend the afternoon go for game drives winding the day with the beautiful sunset. You can have this planned with your guide to fully optimize all the time you have here.

After breakfast, you will have a game drive and proceed to the airstrip for your flight to Ruaha national park. Ruaha is another very expansive national park and therefore a home to a variety of wildlife species. Arrive in time for game drives seeing Ruaha’s prides of lions, wild dogs, birds beautiful landscapes. This park is less crowded and therefore offers great intimate and exclusive wildlife experiences.

Day 5: Game Drives

You will spend this day exploring endless ecosystem of this vast national park viewing animals, birds and the plant species. Have a hot lunch break at your lodge or picnic lunch as you enjoy the views of the park. In the evening you will head back to your lodge for relaxation.

Day 6: Nature walks and Game drives

Have breakfast and go for wildlife expeditions this time with a guided nature walk getting closer to wildlife. You will end the day with game drives searching for wildlife you could have missed seeing the first two days.

Day 7: Departure

Have your last game drive early in the morning and see animals when they are usually very active. You will then exit the park for a transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Dar-es-Salaam.
