Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

You will be driven to Tarangire National Park arriving early enough for a game drive seeing a number of wildlife. first game drive. The park’s natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees. The animal population here rivals that of the Serengeti so on your game drive you will have the chance to see large herds of elephants, wildebeest, zebra, eland, hartebeest, buffalos, gerenuk, fringe-eared oryx, and flocks of birds of many different species.

Day 2: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

Depart in the morning and drive through the small town of Karatu, Ngorongoro Conservation Area before reaching Serengeti National Park. The name comes from the Maasai ‘Siringet’, meaning endless plains. One of the world’s last great wildlife refuges, various types of vegetation: grassy plains,Savannah with acacias, wooded hills and mountains are the backdrop for an extraordinary concentration of animals which reaches its peak during the wildebeest migration. In the afternoon have game drive in the Serengeti. Here you will see wildebeests, buffaloes, hippopotami, elephants, zebras, hyenas, cheetahs, leopards, lions, giraffes, impalas and topis. The Serengeti has also more than 500 bird species.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park

Today we have a full day in Serengeti where you have choice of morning and afternoon game drives with lunch and rest at our accommodation, or a full day with packed lunches.

Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

We wake up early for breakfast. We then drive to the stunning Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a picnic lunch.The Crater’s resident wildlife includes some of the last remaining black rhinos in Africa, buffaloes, lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and leopards. After game drive we drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Departure to Arusha

After breakfast you will be driven back to Arusha (or Kilimanjaro airport) to catch flight to Zanzibar or your next destination depending on schedule.
